Adobe announces Firefly 3 generative UI kit and native XD integration

Firefly 3 expands generative capabilities with layout-aware image generation and tokenized components that map directly to design-system primitives. Designers can prompt for header variations, icon families, or entire modal compositions and receive layered, editable results aligned to the active grid and typography tokens.
The native XD integration offers a 'generate in context' flow: prompts attached to artboards return components that respect constraints, styles, and export settings, so assets are ready for immediate handoff. Adobe also introduced a Reuse Library that indexes generated assets alongside existing components to surface duplicates and licensing metadata.
Adobe highlighted enterprise controls for governance: admins can pin approved color palettes and component styles, audit usage, and require model provenance tags on generated assets. The company says Firefly 3 is aimed at reducing concepting time and unifying designer-engineer handoffs.
