Adobe embeds Firefly Studio into Creative Cloud with inline generative layers
Design · 5 min read
Adobe's Creative Cloud update embeds Firefly Studio directly into flagship apps, introducing generative layers that behave like normal layers—editable, maskable and non-destructive. Designers can generate variations, swap textures, or extend video clips using prompts while preserving anchor points and masks.
The system includes prompt histories, style tokens, and version diffs so teams can review iterations. Integration extends to Libraries and cloud documents, enabling collaborative review with comments attached to specific generated regions.
Adobe also released interoperability guidelines so generated assets can be exported to web and app formats safely, and introduced watermarking and provenance metadata standards to track AI-derived content throughout production.
