Adobe Firefly 2026 brings vector-aware generative layers and motion presets
Design · 4 min read
Adobe’s Firefly 2026 release focuses on precision-generative capabilities, enabling designers to create vector shapes, icons, and scalable illustrations that export directly to Illustrator and After Effects. The generator understands layer hierarchies and preserves editability by default.
New motion presets let Firefly output animated SVG sequences and keyframe-ready data that import cleanly into After Effects and Adobe XD. Designers can prompt for entrance/exit behaviors and get adjustable easing curves suitable for micro-interactions and banner ads.
Adobe emphasized enterprise integration: generated assets respect brand kits stored in Creative Cloud, pulling approved colors and typography automatically. The company also added collaborative review features so stakeholders can request tweaks from within Adobe’s cloud environment.
Some independent designers cautioned about potential over-reliance on generative defaults, urging teams to maintain custom craft. Adobe responded by adding maker-mode toggles that bias outputs toward novelty or brand-safe consistency, depending on the project need.
