Adobe Firefly 2.5 Introduces Vector-Aware Generative Tools and Layered PSD Export

Firefly 2.5 adds vector-aware generators that output clean paths and editable shapes, making it possible to generate logo concepts, icons, and UI assets without rasterization artifacts. The tool includes snapping and constraint heuristics to keep geometry production-ready for design systems.

The new layered PSD export preserves layer styles, masks, and smart objects, enabling designers to bring AI-generated assets into Photoshop with full editability. Adobe also improved color management to maintain consistent results across RGB, Display P3, and CMYK workflows.

Adobe showcased use cases where teams generate starter components in Firefly and then refine them in Illustrator and Photoshop, dramatically reducing iteration time. They highlighted governance features for brand safety and asset lineage tracking across projects.
