Adobe Firefly 3 adds vector-to-UI conversion and real-time Figma sync
Design · 5 min read
Firefly 3 can now output layered, constraint-aware vector assets annotated with semantic labels like 'button', 'card', or 'avatar', which designers can import into UI tools as ready components. The conversion retains color styles, text tokens, and layout rules so generated art becomes a tangible starting point rather than an isolated image.
A real-time Figma sync plugin means Firefly-generated components appear as native Figma layers that preserve responsiveness and can be swapped with design system variants. Edits made in Figma—like changing a token value or swapping a font—propagate back to Firefly so iterations remain tightly coupled between creative exploration and product constraints.
Adobe emphasized enterprise controls, including review logs and usage quotas, to prevent runaway generations in shared projects. Designers we spoke with said the new pipeline reduces friction in early-stage exploration and makes it easier to take generative outputs into accessible, componentized design systems.
