Adobe Firefly 3 brings vector-aware generation and real-time mockup syncing

Firefly 3's big change is vector-awareness: the model can now generate assets that respect constraints like stroke, corner radius, and boolean groups, producing cleaner SVGs that require minimal manual cleanup. It also adds 'layer intent' prompts so designers can say "generate icon variants that replace only the top layer."

The release includes real-time mockup syncing between Firefly's canvas and Adobe XD or Photoshop files, enabling generated assets to flow into established design files while preserving layer structure and naming conventions. Adobe also added a 'brand guardrail' feature that enforces tokenized color palettes and typography during generation.

Adobe positions Firefly 3 as a tool for both rapid ideation and production handoff. The company is expanding enterprise controls and watermarking for asset provenance, while freelancers and small teams get streamlined exports and lower-latency generation in the Creative Cloud suite.
