Adobe Firefly 5 adds 'Vector Recall'—AI-driven vectorization that preserves style tokens
Design · 4 min read
Adobe's Firefly 5 introduces Vector Recall, a new vectorization workflow that uses AI to extract repeatable style tokens — stroke weight, corner treatment, and texture patterns — rather than producing one-off paths. The result is vector output that better fits into existing brand systems and can be edited at the token level.
Vector Recall can suggest a palette of interchangeable components from a single sketch, convert raster logos into tokenized vector components, and export components with metadata for design systems. Adobe says designers will be able to swap tokens across assets programmatically, enabling rapid theming and variant creation.
Privacy and IP are focal points: Adobe uses on-device inference when possible and offers enterprise data residency options. Early testers cite a dramatic reduction in manual cleanup time for legacy asset refreshes.
