Adobe Firefly adds multimodal layout engine for responsive email and ad creatives

The new Firefly layout engine takes an asset folder, a short brief, and brand tokens and produces a set of responsive layouts optimized for email clients, social platforms, and banner specs. Adobe highlights the engine's ability to respect brand hierarchy, mandatory legal copy, and accessibility requirements during generation.
Designers can lock elements, adjust constraints, and request alternative visual treatments, which the system materializes as export-ready templates. Adobe also added a collaboration mode that tracks generation provenance — which parts were AI-created versus hand-edited — improving auditability for compliance teams.
Firefly's update includes direct integration with Adobe Campaign and Marketo for streamlined export, and early agency partners say it reduces turnaround for multiformat campaigns from days to hours. Adobe plans to roll out enterprise controls for content moderation and legal overlays in Q3 2026.
