Adobe Firefly Studio adds timeline-aware generative video layers

Firefly Studio's generative video layers let designers define a character, environment, and style once; the model then applies that identity consistently across a timeline. This reduces the need to prompt each frame separately and helps maintain visual continuity for explainer videos and social clips.

Layers are editable like traditional clips—creators can tweak timing, adjust pose keys, and lock color palettes. The engine exports per-frame assets and motion metadata for downstream compositing in Premiere or After Effects.

Adobe emphasized that the feature is geared toward rapid prototyping and draft sequences. A safety layer prevents generation that violates copyright or includes realistic depictions of public figures unless appropriately licensed.
