Adobe introduces Project Loom: generative layout assistant inside Photoshop
Design · 5 min read
Adobe today introduced Project Loom, a Photoshop extension that leverages generative models to produce layout suggestions, reusable component exports, and style-consistent palettes for UI work. Project Loom can take a seed wireframe or text prompt and generate multiple responsive variations, complete with layer organization and export-ready assets.
Adobe emphasizes designer control: each generated layout is editable and annotated with suggested constraints and export settings for design systems. Loom integrates with Adobe XD and Figma through plugins, allowing designers to continue working in their preferred environment while leveraging Photoshop's image-editing strengths.
The feature is being rolled out to Creative Cloud enterprise users first, with a staged public release planned later in 2026. Adobe says Loom will support on-premise deployment for sensitive customers and includes model attribution and audit logs for governance.
