Adobe Photoshop Beta adds Generative Layer Control and exportable design tokens

Generative Layer Control enables artists and designers to create editable generative content within a layer stack rather than rasterizing results. Users can nudge style, lighting, or object placement and retain a parametric history that blends well with classic layer effects.
The token exporter produces production-ready design tokens (colors, spacing, typography, component metadata) that sync with design systems in Figma, Sketch, and codebases. Adobe says the aim is to reduce friction in cross-tool design-system maintenance and make creative decisions traceable.
Early testers appreciated the ability to iterate on generative assets without losing control and the convenience of pushing updated tokens directly to style dictionaries. Adobe plans to expand compatibility with more design toolchains and to open a public plugin API for token transformations.
