Adobe Sensei adds XD-to-Web export with automated accessibility annotations

Adobe rolled out an XD-to-Web export feature powered by Sensei that aims to produce accessible, production-adjacent HTML/CSS from Adobe XD prototypes. The export includes ARIA attributes, semantic element recommendations, and contrast-adjusted color suggestions to meet common WCAG checkpoints.

Sensei analyzes artboards and prototype flows to infer semantics such as navigation, main content, and form fields, then maps them to semantic HTML structures. It also flags potential accessibility concerns and offers automated fixes that teams can accept during the export dialog.

Adobe positions XD-to-Web as a handoff accelerator rather than a one-click final solution; engineers are expected to polish the generated markup. However, teams testing the feature reported faster discovery of accessibility issues early in the design-to-dev handoff.
