Adobe Substance 4 adds streaming textures and game engine export presets

Streaming textures let artists host texture sets remotely and stream required mip levels during authoring and runtime previews. This reduces local disk constraints when working with dozens of 8K/16K texture sets and makes cloud-based collaboration more seamless.
Substance 4 also introduced one-click presets for Unity, Unreal and popular proprietary engines that map Substance parameters to engine material slots and optimize texture sets for runtime performance. Presets include suggested compression, LOD strategies and tile packing recommendations.
The release bundles a live sync plugin for game engines so changes in Substance are reflected in running game builds with minimal delay. Studios working on open-world and multiplayer titles reported faster art-to-build cycles and fewer texture-related regressions.
