Adobe unveils Firefly 4 with vector-aware generation and native Figma interoperability

Firefly 4 introduces a vector generation engine that outputs SVG with editable layers instead of flattened raster images, enabling designers to tweak shapes, strokes, and fills directly in Adobe Illustrator and Figma. Adobe claims this reduces hand cleanup and accelerates asset handoff.

The native Figma bridge allows one-click import of Firefly-generated assets into a team's Figma files, preserving naming, token relationships, and suggested responsive variants. Adobe also released a plugin that synchronizes layer styles and color tokens between Creative Cloud and Figma.

Adobe emphasized stewardship features such as usage attribution, version provenance, and content filters that block generation of trademarked or branded elements. Firefly 4 will be integrated into Creative Cloud and offered as an enterprise add-on with expanded content management controls.
