Adobe updates Document Cloud with AI translation, summarization, and design-aware redaction

The summarization and translation features run hybrid on-device/server models depending on privacy preferences; users can opt for on-device-only translation for sensitive documents. Summaries are contextual and can be tuned for length and formality, while translations aim to preserve layout and typographic choices.
Design-aware redaction removes or obfuscates sensitive content—names, numbers, or images—while reconstructing the remaining layout so that documents remain visually consistent. The tool generates a redaction audit trail and can apply redaction across document batches.
Enterprises appreciated the workflow improvements for compliance and international collaboration. Adobe plans to integrate these features into Acrobat for mobile and to add APIs for enterprise DMS integration.
