Adobe updates Firefly with cross-app scene generation and mixed-media vector export

Adobe’s latest Firefly update focuses on interoperability: generative scenes created in Firefly can now be exported as mixed-media packages—bitmap layers plus retained vector elements—so designers can continue refining AI-generated graphics inside Illustrator and Photoshop without losing editability.

The models also gained cross-app awareness, letting Firefly consider target app constraints (print CMYK, web color spaces, or motion timelines) and output assets pre-optimized for those environments. Adobe claims this reduces manual cleanup and speeds handoff to production pipelines.

Adobe additionally improved prompt chaining and style transfer controls so teams can create coherent brand variants and batch-produce assets with consistent visual language. Enterprise customers can opt to run Firefly on private cloud instances to satisfy data governance needs.
