Adobe updates Firefly with 'Design Context' tokens and vector-aware diffusion

Adobe's Firefly platform added 'Design Context' tokens—structured descriptors that capture brand color systems, typography, and component rules. Designers can save these tokens as part of a library and reuse them for consistent generation across campaigns and products.

The team also improved vector-aware diffusion that produces scalable SVGs with preserved paths and layers, which reduces the need for manual tracing when converting raster outputs into production-ready vectors. Firefly now offers a 'tidy' mode that attempts to align generated shapes to pixel grids and component constraints.

Adobe positioned the update toward marketing and product design teams who frequently generate icons, logos, and UI assets. The company emphasized integration with Creative Cloud Libraries so tokens and output can be synced to Photoshop, Illustrator, and XD workflows.
