Adobe XD adds Generative Components and One-Click Accessibility fixes

Adobe updated XD with Generative Components: a feature that automatically produces component variants (size, state, interaction) from a single master component using an embedded generative model. The system outputs annotated variants and suggested interaction patterns for designers to approve.

The release also includes a one-click accessibility fixer which scans artboards and proposes fixes like accessible color swaps, ARIA attributes, and keyboard navigation order. Designers can preview proposed changes and apply them selectively, with an audit trail that lists why each change was recommended.

Adobe says these capabilities reduce handoff friction by exporting component metadata and accessibility notes directly into design tokens and code snippets for engineers. The firm also published guidelines for teams to adopt generative components while preserving design system constraints.
