Adobe XD beta adds collaborative AI brush for rapid illustration-to-component conversion

The collaborative brush converts strokes into vector components, inferring states and scalable assets that match a project's token system. Multiple team members can co-edit a generated component, leaving inline comments and suggested variants.

Export options include responsive SVGs and component JSON for direct import into front-end frameworks. The brush tries to retain artistic fidelity while producing engineering-friendly outputs.

Adobe pitched the feature at teams that use illustration heavily in product experiences and need a smoother path from art to usable UI. The company plans to expand the collaboration features based on beta feedback.
