Adobe XD Introduces 'Tokenize' — Design Tokens From Live Products

Tokenize scans a deployed site or app (with credentials) and extracts color variables, spacing scales, and typographic settings, mapping them into XD-compatible tokens. Designers can then normalize, rename, and sync tokens back to code repositories.

The tool highlights token drift—cases where code and design systems differ—and provides migration suggestions with a migration plan and estimated effort. Adobe also added APIs for token sync and CI validation.

Enterprises say Tokenize reduces friction in reconciling design systems with implementation and helps teams move toward single sources of truth faster.
