Adobe XD Mobile introduces Adaptive Components powered by reinforcement learning

Adaptive Components learn which variants work best in different device scenarios by analyzing anonymized interaction telemetry (with opt-in). Designers can tag components to be adaptive and define reward signals like engagement, completion rate, or readability.

The RL system proposes behavioral adjustments — for example, simplifying controls on smaller screens or increasing spacing in dense layouts — and surfaces rationale behind each suggestion. Designers keep final control and can approve or revert learned behaviors.

XD Mobile's update is targeted at teams who want components that adapt over time to real-world use patterns. Adobe stressed privacy and transparency, providing audit logs and the ability to freeze learned policies at any time.
