Adobe's Experience Builder replaces XD with a focus on modular generative blocks—reusable, parameterized interaction pieces that can be composed into full experiences. The system includes a runtime preview that mimics production rendering and user-input timing so designers can validate feel and performance.

Generative blocks include animation presets, responsive layout algorithms, and conditional state handlers; they can be exported as framework-specific components with tests and performance budgets. Experience Builder also offers a 'policy gear' to enforce brand and accessibility constraints automatically.

Adobe says Experience Builder is designed for cross-disciplinary teams who iterate rapidly and need artifacts that are closer to production. The company is offering migration tools for existing XD projects and free workshops to help teams adopt the new workflow.
