Adobe XD relaunches as XD Studio with integrated prototyping AI and developer handoff

XD Studio adds an AI prototyping assistant that can generate interactive flows from high-level descriptions or Figma imports. Designers can describe a feature and get a navigable prototype with transitions, micro-interactions and initial accessibility checks.

The tool also standardizes design tokens across Creative Cloud and generates platform-specific code snippets for iOS, Android, and web. Handoff includes linked assets, token maps and a one-click export to developer packages that integrate with CI pipelines.

Teams said the integrated handoff reduces translation errors and speeds iteration, but emphasized the need for governance around generated code quality. Adobe positioned XD Studio as a productivity layer that complements more full-featured tools rather than replacing them.
