Aether Labs raises $70M and debuts HoloStage for immersive multiplayer prototyping

Aether Labs raised $70 million to build HoloStage, a platform that lets design and product teams prototype multi-user mixed-reality scenarios without device swaps. The funding was led by Immersive Ventures and aims to scale device farms and network infrastructure.

HoloStage provides session recording, synchronized annotation, and composable sensors so teams can test interactions like shared object manipulation, collaborative whiteboards, and spatial audio cues. The environment supports cross-device participation from headsets and mobile AR.

Enterprise testers highlight the speed of validating co-located interactions and the platform's ability to correlate physiological comfort metrics with UX changes. Aether will extend device support and add enterprise access controls.
