Aether raises $60M Series C to commercialize foundation models for UX research

The financing was led by Crestline Capital with participation from enterprise software investors and multiple design-focused strategic partners. Aether specializes in models fine-tuned to understand user behavior, extract UX insights and generate research syntheses tailored to product teams.
With the new capital, Aether will expand compute infrastructure, build on-prem and private cloud deployment options and introduce certified data cleanrooms for regulated customers. The goal is to enable large enterprises to run sensitive UX research workloads without exposing raw user data.
Product updates include a research notebook that auto-populates participant summaries and a themes explorer that surfaces patterns across sessions and surveys. The models are engineered to prioritize interpretability and to generate citations to original session snippets.
Investors said Aether's focus on domain-specific models differentiates it from general-purpose LLMs and gives product and research teams tools that produce immediately actionable insights instead of raw text.
