Aether Systems launches privacy-first voice assistant SDK for products, raises $14M seed
Tech · 3 min read
Aether Systems released an SDK that enables manufacturers to add natural voice interactions to consumer devices with on-device wake-word detection, intent parsing, and small-footprint speech models. The startup raised $14 million in seed funding from Eclipse Ventures and several strategic hardware partners.
Target customers include home appliances, wearables, and in-vehicle systems that require low-latency and private voice processing. Aether’s SDK offers offline fallbacks, federated learning primitives for personalization, and an orchestration layer for cloud augmentation when connectivity is available.
The seed capital will be used to optimize the models across embedded hardware profiles, create reference implementations for consumer electronics, and build certification guidance for OEM partners.
