NeoDraft, a collaborative writing platform, embedded a generative assistant to help users draft sections and summarize threads. The product team decided against full-auto rewriting and instead built a hybrid UX where AI makes suggestions that users can accept, modify, or reject with clear provenance.

Design patterns included a suggestions rail with confidence scores, inline diff preview toggles, and an 'explain suggestion' affordance that surfaces which source passages influenced the output. To prevent over-reliance, NeoDraft added a subtle friction: every third suggestion requires a quick confirmation about intent or tone.
