Anthropic unveils Claude Design API for UI prototyping and persona-driven copy

Anthropic's Claude Design API is a specialized variant of their Claude family, trained and tuned to handle interface text generation, content tone alignment, and accessibility flagging. It offers endpoints for generating microcopy, error messages, onboarding flows, and translated voice-consistent variants for different user personas.

The product includes a 'voice profile' system that lets design teams lock a brand voice and generate consistent content across features. It also returns explicit accessibility recommendations—contrast reminders, ARIA suggestions, and alternative text proposals—to help teams close the gap between copy and UI compliance.

Anthropic is partnering with design platforms to ship plugins that push generated content directly into prototyping pipelines.
