Aperture Labs launches ProCam: a developer-focused spatial camera for AR apps

ProCam bundles synchronized RGB, depth, and IR sensors with on-device preprocessing for point-cloud cleanup, texture fusion, and color matching. Aperture Labs markets the module as a drop-in solution that reduces the engineering load for AR apps that need robust spatial capture on variable hardware.

The developer kit includes drivers, calibration tools, sample integrations with AR SDKs, and cloud utilities for telemetry and model updates. Aperture Labs emphasizes low-power modes and dynamic resolution scaling to support mobile battery budgets while maintaining capture quality.

ProCam is shipping to early hardware partners and plans to offer certified variation profiles so OEMs can quickly match performance across chipsets. Aperture Labs is pitching the module to companies building measurement tools, retail try-on experiences, and spatial mapping services.
