Aperture Labs unveils modular AR glasses 'Aperture Home' and closes $60M Series C

Aperture Home borrows from modular hardware trends: magnetically attachable lens modules provide different FOVs and optics (reading, media, depth sensing) and a bay for battery or extra compute. The design prioritizes comfort for all-day wear.

The $60 million Series C was led by Meridian Growth with participation from strategic consumer electronics partners. Aperture Labs will use the funds to refine manufacturing, certify the hardware for retail channels, and expand their developer program.

Aperture's new spatial OS focuses on home productivity — floating apps, persistent workspaces, and low-friction interactions using glance+gesture. The company also announced native support for common design and 3D tools to appeal to creators.

Aperture Home will ship to early access customers in Q1 2027, with a developer kit immediately available. Pricing will be competitive with premium AR headsets, and the company expects accessory partnerships to create a modular ecosystem.
