Apple adjusts App Store subscription rules to ease bundle launches for small developers

In response to developer feedback, Apple has updated App Store guidelines to reduce friction for creators who want to sell bundled subscriptions across iOS, macOS and visionOS. The change streamlines cross-platform product IDs and shortens the review path for bundle launches under a new “Small Bundles” track.

The new policy also clarifies revenue reporting: developers using the consolidated bundle model will see unified analytics and accounting in App Store Connect, which Apple says will cut bookkeeping overhead. Additionally, the rule clarifies how promotional trials and introductory pricing should behave when bundles span multiple device families.

Apple emphasized that the measures are intended to help independent studios and SaaS makers experiment with product packages without reopening a full review for minor changes. Larger publishers will still need to comply with standard review timelines for substantive feature changes.
