When a user pins a shortcut, the app receives a validated deep-link token on first launch to ensure safe redirection. Apple enforces review policies so pinned shortcuts cannot be used for spam or misleading behaviors.

Designers are encouraged to provide clear icons and descriptions in App Store Connect; Apple added preview tools to show how shortcuts will look across devices and accessibility settings. The feature aims to reduce friction for feature discovery.
