Apple expands Vision Pro SDK with spatial collaboration APIs for designers

Apple’s latest update to the Vision Pro SDK introduces collaboration primitives that let multiple users see and interact with the same spatial UI in real time. The APIs include synchronized anchors, shared world state, and low-latency voice and gesture event propagation designed for distributed design reviews.
The SDK now exposes higher-level layout helpers that map 2D design constructs into spatial equivalents, helping teams port existing iPad and macOS UI patterns into mixed reality. Apple also added an assets pipeline for layered PSD and Figma exports to reduce iteration friction between 2D designers and spatial developers.
For design teams the practical change is faster prototyping cycles: designers can now join a session from their Mac or iPad and place, move, or annotate live objects while developers observe how the scene performs on a hardware Vision Pro device. Apple emphasizes privacy and performance, saying the collaboration data is end-to-end encrypted and optimized to minimize battery impact.
