Apple unveils RealityKit 3.2 and Spatial Anchors update for cross-device AR persistence

RealityKit 3.2 focuses on making shared AR experiences stable and easier to author. The update introduces a new cross-device spatial anchor sync protocol that reduces drift and sync latency, plus a companion testing suite in Xcode for replaying spatial scenarios across multiple recorded sessions.
Designers will appreciate the improved material inspector and new layout constraints for anchoring UI to persistent world geometry, enabling consistent HUDs and labels across participants. The Scene Authoring Mode in Reality Composer Pro now exports lightweight scenes optimized for Vision devices.
Apple also added new privacy controls for anchor discovery and consent flows, and updated Human Interface Guidelines for mixed reality to cover persistent annotations and session lifecycle. Early adopters report faster prototyping and fewer reconciliation issues in collaborative tests.
