Apple Vision OS update delivers spatial UI templates and multi-app workflows

Apple pushed a visionOS update that includes a set of spatial UI templates aimed at accelerating app development for mixed-reality productivity and creative tools. Templates cover multi-panel canvases, floating tool palettes, and anchored content panels.

The platform’s multi-app windowing received a significant overhaul: apps can now declare persistent workspaces that span the room and maintain state across sessions. This change enables smoother transitions between design, reference, and communication apps in a shared spatial environment.

Apple also added developer tooling for spatial anchors and collaboration, simplifying sync of annotations and object placements between users. The release is positioned to attract enterprise partners building collaborative design and AR visualization apps.
