Arbor Robotics ships its first home gardening robot and closes $15M Series A

Sprout combines a soil sensor array, automated irrigation, and a modular LED grow canopy with a cartridge-based seed system. The robot provides plant-specific care plans and integrates with nutrition-tracking apps to recommend harvest timing based on recipe goals.

The $15 million round was led by Greenhouse Ventures and will accelerate supply chain scaling, manufacturing, and a retail push into major lifestyle stores. Arbor plans on expanding plant cartridges beyond herbs into small vegetables and medicinal plants.

Early users reported consistently high germination rates and the convenience of scheduled maintenance, while some designers highlighted the device’s tactile UI and approachable industrial design. Arbor will also launch a developer API for custom plant profiles later this year.
