Arcade Design raises $8M to launch a parametric icon system for product teams

Arcade Design closed an $8 million seed round led by Craft Ventures to build a parametric icon engine that outputs SVG, VectorDrawable, and icon fonts. The product uses constraint-based primitives so designers can tweak style variables like corner radius, stroke density, and silhouette balance and regenerate a full set.

The startup says the parametric approach reduces manual work and designer handoffs by enabling tokenized icon sets that adapt to dark mode, density changes, and accessibility settings. Arcade integrates with Figma and design tokens pipelines.

In addition to the icon generator, Arcade is releasing a team collaboration feature that locks style decisions to a design system and flags icons that diverge from approved tokens. The company is targeting product teams at scaleups and enterprises with complex platform footprints.

Arcade will use the funding to build out its marketplace of vetted icons, expand to motion icons, and hire for product and developer relations. Early customers include two transportation apps and a health platform piloting the system across mobile and web.
