ArcadeCloud raises $30M and launches serverless multiplayer backend
Gaming · 4 min read
ArcadeCloud introduced a serverless, latency-aware multiplayer backend that abstracts matchmaking, authoritative state, and regional replication into developer-friendly APIs. The platform supports rollback netcode, deterministic simulation, and built-in anti-cheat hooks aimed at fighting fragmentation for small and mid-size studios.
The company also announced a $30 million Series A led by Atlas Fund and attended by major indie-focused publishers. ArcadeCloud plans to expand regional edge deployments and invest in toolchains for wire-framing game state flows and visualizing rollback timelines.
Early adopters include four indie studios using ArcadeCloud for cross-platform PvP titles and a mid-size publisher trialing the stack for a live tournament mode. ArcadeCloud's pitch is to lower operational hurdles so teams can focus on gameplay rather than infrastructure.
