ArcadeFoundry raises $40M Series A to fund live-service indie game platform

ArcadeFoundry wants to democratize live-service tools for small and mid-sized game studios by offering a hosted backend, event-scheduling, and monetization modules. The $40 million Series A will expand dev tooling, introduce low-code content pipelines, and support integrations with major engines like Unity and Unreal.

The platform launches with templates for battle passes, limited-time events, and timed community challenges, along with analytics and rollback systems. ArcadeFoundry positions itself as a middleware layer that avoids the complexity and cost of building bespoke live-service infrastructure.

Indie founders welcomed the lower barrier to entry but highlighted concerns over revenue share and long-term vendor lock-in. ArcadeFoundry said it will offer transparent pricing and migration tools to address those worries.
