ArcadeKit raises $14M to build distraction-free prototyping environment for console UX

The investment led by PlayFund will be used to build high-fidelity emulators for console input, force feedback and TV latency, allowing designers to test flows that are sensitive to timing and controller ergonomics. ArcadeKit provides in-app telemetry and session recording to study player behavior.
The platform supports collaborative playtests where designers can adjust parameters mid-session and observe immediate changes. Integration with popular game engines and testing frameworks simplifies iteration loops for UI and onboarding.
ArcadeKit sees an opening as consoles become increasingly connected and live-service driven; UX teams need tools to prototype nontraditional flows like interrupted play, cross-device transitions and cloud handoffs.
Studios with large QA teams view ArcadeKit as a way to centralize playtesting artifacts and shorten iteration cycles between designers, product managers and QA engineers.
