ArcadeLane secures $30M to launch CrossPlayKit, simplifying cross-platform multiplayer integration
Gaming · 5 min read
ArcadeLane announced CrossPlayKit, a middleware designed to let developers add cross-platform multiplayer, unified progression, and cross-platform social features without rewriting backend systems. CrossPlayKit includes adapters for platform-specific storefronts, matchmaking normalization, and a modular anti-cheat layer that publishers can tune.
The $30 million Series B came from Lightspeed Partners and aims to expand ArcadeLane's SDK support and regional presence. The company highlighted its focus on mid-tier studios that need robust multiplayer features but lack the resources of large publishers.
Studios testing CrossPlayKit reported a faster time-to-market for cross-platform launches and decreased backend complexity when supporting both console and PC ecosystems. ArcadeLane plans to add built-in analytics for engagement and retention tied to cross-play features.
