ArcadeWave launches WaveKit cloud-native dev kit and raises $25M Series A for next-gen multiplayer games

WaveKit provides managed server instances, deterministic lockstep simulation libraries, and an integrated matchmaking system optimized for cloud compute. ArcadeWave says WaveKit reduces the backend engineering burden that traditionally slows multiplayer launches.
ArcadeWave closed $25 million in Series A funding led by Horizon Bridge with participation from Craft Capital and a group of indie studio angels. The firm will use the capital to scale server infrastructure and launch a marketplace for server-side game modules.
A key feature is WaveKit's 'session snapshot' capability, which allows developers to roll back or fork live multiplayer sessions for debugging and instant replay. The company highlights lower total cost of ownership compared with managing raw cloud instances and bespoke networking stacks.
Early partners include two mid-size studios piloting real-time battle royale and co-op narrative titles. ArcadeWave also launched a free tier for prototypes and indie teams to accelerate adoption among smaller developers.
