Arcadia Games unveils 'Arcadia CloudPlay' with low-latency dev sandboxes for designers
Gaming · 5 min read
CloudPlay provides browser-accessible sessions backed by GPU instances where designers can tweak levels, test scripts and invite collaborators for synchronous playtests. It supports live asset sync from common pipelines and a rollback system to avoid destructive edits.
Arcadia is targeting mid-size studios and indie teams that need flexible access to rendering hardware and fast iteration loops. A built-in annotations system lets playtesters pin notes to specific frames and positions in a level that persist across builds.
The company will offer pay-as-you-go pricing and team tiers with persistent workspaces, dedicated GPUs and enhanced security for closed-source IP. Integration plugins for Unity and Unreal are on the roadmap.
Designers welcomed the product as a way to remove local setup friction, while engineering leads highlighted potential cost savings from pooled GPU resources and fewer staging environment builds.
