ArcadiaXR raises $45M to launch mixed-reality controllers and dev kit

ArcadiaXR announced a $45 million Series A led by Helix Ventures and launched the Arcadia XR Dev Kit, a controller-and-tracker set that pairs haptic-rich input with an on-device spatial AI coprocessor. The system uses real-time scene understanding to map physical objects and enable context-aware interactions without a tethered PC.

The startup positions the product for location-based entertainment operators and enterprise training providers who need robust spatial mapping and low-latency haptics in non-lab environments. The controllers include adaptive friction motors that simulate texture and weight, while the dev kit's SDK exposes scene geometry, hand pose, and semantic object recognition.

ArcadiaXR says the funding will scale manufacturing, expand developer outreach, and seed content partnerships for immersive training modules. Beta partners include an industrial-safety simulator company and a theme-park operator testing VR escape-room experiences.
