Arcano Games launches cloud-native fight-engine, secures $50M round

Arcano's fight-engine runs authoritative collision and rollback logic on cloud nodes with deterministic reconciliation for client inputs, promising lower perceived latency even in cross-region matches. The company provides SDKs for Unity and Unreal plus plugins for matchmaking and anti-cheat telemetry to simplify integration for multiplayer titles.

The funding — $50 million from Pulse Labs and esports-focused investors — will expand server infrastructure, add regional edge nodes, and offer a managed hosting tier for studios. Arcano also announced partnerships with several middleware providers to provide a holistic online play stack.

Indie studios praised the potential cost savings and the ability to ship responsive multiplayer without building large ops teams. Arcano said the engine supports tick-rate scaling and predictive polishing tools so designers can tune the feel of combat independently of network conditions.
