Archetype raises $28M to scale a spatial design platform for AR shopping experiences

Archetype, a platform for designing AR commerce experiences, announced a $28 million Series B round led by RetailTech Partners and released version 2.0 of its spatial design toolkit. The product allows designers to draft AR experiences, preview them on physical store layouts, and deploy to brand apps or web AR.

New features include conversion-focused analytics, heatmaps of user interactions in AR, and commerce hooks to measure uplift and route purchases. The platform integrates with common e-commerce stacks and point-of-sale systems for unified attribution.

Archetype plans to use funding to expand enterprise integrations and to build a marketplace of AR-ready product models. Retailers see value in rapid prototyping and the ability to A/B test spatial merchandising with minimal engineering overhead.
