ArgoVR debuts pocket-sized headset Argo Air with modular controllers; secures $60M Series C

Argo Air uses a pancake optical stack and a custom low-latency passthrough camera to deliver 120-degree FOV and 120Hz refresh in a 320-gram headset. Modular controllers with haptic cubes allow for quick swapping between precision input and gestural tracking modes, catering to design and CAD workflows.

The $60 million round was co-led by Helix Capital and Orion Hardware Partners, bringing strategic OEM relationships and manufacturing support. ArgoVR says funds will scale assembly lines and invest in an enterprise software suite for spatial meetings and shared 3D whiteboards.

ArgoVR positions Argo Air as a bridge between consumer and enterprise VR, with enterprise licensing, multi-user scene persistence, and an SDK for integrating existing 3D apps. Early pilots with automotive suppliers focused on collaborative design review and ergonomics testing.
