AstraAI launches SketchMuse, a multimodal design assistant, and raises $30M seed

AstraAI today launched SketchMuse, a multimodal design assistant that accepts freehand sketches, screenshots, and natural-language prompts to generate polished UI components and interaction flows. The company says SketchMuse integrates into Figma and popular prototyping tools to offer contextual suggestions and component-level variants.

Alongside the product launch AstraAI announced a $30 million seed round led by Horizon Ventures with participation from Studio Capital and a group of design-focused angels. The funding will be used to scale model training, improve multimodal alignment, and expand integrations into enterprise design platforms.

SketchMuse focuses on collaboration: it can propose accessible color palettes, create responsive variants, and generate copy tailored to microcopy rules. AstraAI positions the assistant for early design discovery and handoff optimization, aiming to cut iteration cycles and reduce rework.
