Atlas Robotics secures $95M to deploy AI-powered factory inspection drones
Tech · 5 min read
Atlas Robotics combines autonomous flight control, thermal and high-res visual sensors, and a vision AI stack that flags anomalies like corrosion, leaks, and misalignments. The drones are semiautonomous: they follow inspection routes and escalate uncertain cases to human operators.
The $95 million round, led by Industrial Horizon, will expand deployment teams, build edge inference for areas with limited connectivity, and accelerate regulatory compliance efforts for indoor and hazardous-zone flights. Atlas plans to open regional service centers for managed hardware operations.
Early enterprise pilots reported reductions in scheduled downtime and faster triage of maintenance issues. Atlas says the combination of robotics and AI reduces the safety risk and operational cost of traditional manual inspections.
