AtlasOS announced a $42 million Series A led by Sentinel Partners to finance the launch of its privacy-focused mobile operating system, promising granular permission controls, minimal telemetry, and enhanced encryption for business users. The OS is positioned as an alternative for organizations seeking tighter data governance on devices.
The company also unveiled an app sandboxing model and an enterprise app store that includes both curated and containerized productivity apps. AtlasOS emphasizes backward compatibility layers to support Android apps while enforcing stricter sandboxing policies.
AtlasOS plans device partnerships for Q1 2027 and will pilot in regulated sectors such as healthcare and legal services. The funding will be used to certify security standards, expand developer support, and build a managed mobility service offering for enterprise customers.
